Virtual Pedigrees is passionate about providing our customers with a complete solution to any of their dog-related needs. As Virtual Pedigrees went from the drawing board to the World Wide Web, many features have been added and removed from the site while under construction. Be aware that while Virtual Pedigrees operated under its beta version, nothing was set in stone until proven indispensable by the users. One to note would be the price associated with registration. This is no longer being advertised, although Virtual Pedigrees from the start has been, and still is, free for all users. Virtual Pedigrees prides itself in offering the best services and more services than any other competitor on the Web. Some websites offer just a few improvements to their database with unreasonable rates, while others are offering gilded, inadequate services for cheap rates. Even with our competitors who offer their services for free, users will find that they get what they pay for: they get nothing for nothing! This is not true with Virtual Pedigrees. Virtual Pedigrees will offer unmatched services that are helpful, informative and organized for free! We even provide additional services, like professional, attractive banners exclusive to the dog you want to advertise at affordable rates. Come and join the Virtual Pedigree community. Manage online pedigrees. Through Virtual Pedigrees’ organized database, users will be able to create pedigrees with a simple online query. The completed query will then be converted into the form of a structured pedigree. Users can also edit, delete and view pedigrees of their dogs online.

“Dispute Pedigree” Option. Misleading, or incorrect pedigrees occasionally emerge when dealing with dog breeders. Within Virtual Pedigrees, users have the option to dispute the legitimacy of a pedigree. If two or more users dispute a particular pedigree, then the option to comment and expose the error on the disputed pedigree will become available (an error being the wrong name, age, breeder of the dog, etc.). The creator of the disputed pedigree will then be notified to either modify or counter-dispute the pedigree.

The ability to transfer ownership of your pedigree to another user. This way you can in a simple step give control of the pedigree to another user without the need to have the webmaster make the transfer.

The Description field comes with a simple, but extremely useful editor. User should be able to used Bold and change colors of text in the text box (all description are limited to a specific amount of characters.
Submit News.- You can submit all American Pitbull Terrier dog related news that you consider of interest. When the news are approved by the moderators the news are displayed on the homepage for all subscribers and visitors to read. I encourage you to provide news of real interest for all dog owners. All news are archived and ready to consult through the News Archive or use the Search Section to search through the news.

Encyclopedia.- I plan to fill the encyclopedia with terms, significant dogs, etc... A true dog encyclopedia to keep for reference for old timers and newbies alike.
Printer-friendly Version. To have a physical copy of a pedigree at hand, users have the choice to print their online pedigrees in a printer-friendly version.

“Email to Friend” Link. Users can use the “Email to Friend link” as an option to email their pedigrees to friends outside of Virtual Pedigrees’ network.

Add pictures and a Description field to all pedigrees. You can now enter a more extensive description of the dog.
Website links Page- Users can submit they American Pitbull website URL and these website links will be stored on a separate page on VirtualPedigree in alphabetical order.
Picture Gallery- User can upload as many Picture of American Pitbull terriers as they like to the picture gallery.
Most viewed pedigree- Shows the most viewed pedigrees on the home page. (we have to determine what data metric we are going to use for this static) for example most view per day, week or months?
